How to change your Twitter background
To learn how to create a custom Twitter background click here to read my guest blog post on Twitip.com.
Uploading and installing a custom background to Twitter is really a very simple process once you know the steps and following the steps below you should have your new Twitter background uploaded and installed in about 2 minutes.
In addition to the written tutorial below I’ve also created a screencast to walk you through the process. I recommend viewing at actual size which you can do by clicking the ‘target’ icon to the left of the Screenr logo.
Step 1
Click “Settings” at the top of your Twitter page.

Step 2
Click “Design” in the tab row.

Step 3
Click “Change background image”

Step 4
Browse your hard drive for the large background image you downloaded.

Step 5
Important: If you are using one of our free backgrounds make sure “tile background” is checked. If you are using one of our custom backgrounds, make sure “tile background” is NOT checked but instead be sure to use the main background color we recommended. Click “save changes”

Step 6
Click “Change design colors”

Step 7
Click inside each color box and either change the color values to the ones we provided with your custom background or pick colors that go well with the free background you downloaded.

Step 8
Click “save changes” and you’re finished. You should now see your new Twitter background and now you can bask in the satisfaction of knowing that you installed it all by yourself.
